National and Regional Competition

National Premier League
Founded in the 2006/2007 season Premier League Netball is the highest level of club netball in the country and the teams that make up the 3 divisions have come through a grueling county, regional and national pathway to take one of the coveted 30 places.

Sussex Thunder, from Sussex NC, play in National Premier League 2 and are the highest performing club team in the county.
Sussex Thunder play their home games in Brighton, at the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy and welcome supporters!

Regional Leagues
Netball South and the regional board are responsible for organising and running regional competition.
At present Netball South run the following leagues: Juniors U13, U14, U16 & U19 along with 3 divisions of the Open league.
The regional league for all age groups will be run on a home and away basis with U13/14/16 leagues playing on a Saturday and the U19 and Open Leagues playing on Sundays.

Entry to the U13/14/16/19 Leagues is by way of a regional entry tournament.
The top 8 teams within each age group progress to the league.

National Schools

The England Netball National Schools Competition is the biggest schools competition in the netball calendar.
The Competition consists of three age groups; U14, U16 and U19 and commences at either an Area or County Round, with schools finishing as winners or runners up in each age group progressing through to the next stage of the competition.
In order to participate, schools must be affiliated to England Netball.

Sussex County Round of National Schools:
This 2017/18 County Round will take place on Saturday 7th October 2017 at:
University of Brighton
Village Way
Falmer
Brighton
BN1 9PH
9:30AM – 2PM (approx)
The reserve date for this round is Saturday 18th November (also at UoBrighton)

The cost to enter a team into the competition will be £60

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 29th September 2017 
No late entries will be accepted.

The competition will be governed by the England Netball National Schools competition rules and regulations. A copy is available to download and view here
Winners from the County round will progress to the Regional round.

South Regional Round of National Schools:
The 2017/18 Regional Round will take place on Saturday 27th January 2018 at

The reserve date for this competition will be Saturday February 3rd
