2010 / 2011 Affiliations

UPDATE

Online affiliations will open on the England Netball website at 10:00am on Monday 5th July for the 2010 / 2011 season.

All participants that take part in registered England Netball activity in Sussex must affiliate through a club to England Netball. This includes playing, coaching or officiating netball in the county. The annual affiliation fee covers activity from 1st September to 31st August and includes the Sussex County Netball Association, South Region Netball Association and England Netball membership fees.

What do I get for my affiliation?

Through affiliating to England Netball, you will receive six issues per year of Netball Magazine and Civil Liability and Personal Accident Insurance. For a full list of benefits, please visit the England Netball website here http://www.englandnetball.co.uk/Membership/index.php

Membership Categories (2010 / 2011)

There are 4 main categories of affiliation as outlined below:

Individual Registered Participant (IRP) - £32.00 per adult - £17.00 per junior (18 years and under) - If you are a coach, umpire or volunteer not attached to a club, but still wish to be affiliated

Netball Club - £320.00 per club - Minimum subscription of 10 registered participants.  £32.00 / £17.00 for each additional adult / junior (18 years and under)

Young Persons Group (YPG) - £170.00 per YPG - Registered participants 18 years and under, and up to 2 nominated non-playing leaders over 18.  Minimum subscription of 10 registered participants.  £17.00 for each additional registered participant (18 years and under)

Youth Club - £88.60 - £199.40 per club - Unlimited number of registered participants 21 years and under, and including 1 nominated leader over 21.

How to affiliate?

New Clubs

New clubs can affiliate online or manually. To affiliate online, email Lynn on lynn@englandnetball.co.uk or call Membership Services at England Netball on 01462 442344 with the following information:

• Club name
• The county that the club is affiliating through
• Name of club contact
• Club’s contact address
• Club’s contact email

To affiliate manually, contact County Affiliations Secretary, Carly Gibbs on sussexnetballaffiliations@hotmail.co.uk

Re-affiliation

During August, you will be contacted by England Netball (if you affiliate online) or by Carly Gibbs (if you affiliate manually) with details on how to re-affiliate your club for the upcoming season.

Further information

If a player plays for more than one club, they must be registered with all clubs. The player must be first claim registered to their main club (or the club playing in the Regional League where appropriate). They can then be second claimed to the other club.

If you wish to affiliate as an individual member (i.e. you are not part of a team), but a coach, umpire, or just wish to be kept informed of activity in Sussex, you can affiliate as an individual member. Please contact Carly Gibbs for more information on IRP affiliation.

If you are already an affiliated member or club and wish to amend your clubs details or add / remove players from your club, you can do this anytime throughout the season by going to the Members section of the England Netball website. Please note, affiliation cannot be transferred between players.

For details of junior league, young persons group, youth group or school membership, please contact the membership department at England Netball. Please note, schools must be affiliated to participate in County, Regional and National Schools Competitions.

PLEASE REMEMBER - if you are an affiliated player and have an unaffiliated player in your team, your insurance may be void, along with that of your opposition. Additionally, if you, an affiliated player, official or club are involved with an unaffiliated league (where not all teams are affiliated), your insurance may be void.
